[life] 101 in 1001 (x2)
So back between April 4, 2008 and December 31, 2010, I did that 101 things in 1001 days thing that was going around. Some of them were big things, some were little things, some I completed, some I didn't, but it was an awesome experience. I'm struggling with a lot of changes in my life, and searching for what I want to do next, and I thought it might be a good time to start up another round. (The first one was basically all of law school and the very beginning of my legal practice. Fitting that this is what comes next.)

I'm going to create a master list and will link to it when it's ready, and I hope that I will blog more when I have specific things to talk about. I'm also hoping it will kick my goal setting into high gear.

I'll be doing mine between January 1, 2015, and September 28, 2017 (or so ... I am tempted to make it be until September 30, because I like ending at the end of a month).

So, what kind of things are you hoping to do in the next few years?

It's posts like these that make me realize how much I had missed LJ. I sporadically pop in and out, try to write, forget about it, then come back and read all of my old posts from 13 YEARS ago.

I remember folks doing this 101 in 1001, and it seemed so daunting to me, even when I first heard of them. Now, now with my life changing so rapidly but staying stagnant all the same, I can't even put my mind to what 101 things could be accomplished in 1001 days. I don't even know what's going on anymore!

However! I wanted to say that I'm glad you popped up on my flist and that you're continuing to write. Sometimes I feel as though my muse was smooshed a bit, sometimes she's underfed, sometimes she eats too much and gets lazy. But it's good to see others are collaborating and doing awesome works with other people.

In short, you're awesome and made my night.

Aww, that's kind. Thank you.

I do remember feeling super daunted by the first round of 101 in 1001, but I balanced that by allowing myself to make changes to it if an item started to look like it wouldn't work long term. (And I didn't force myself to always have 101 things on the list at any given time, because yeah, that's A LOT of things to come up with. No way I could do it all at once.)

I hope your muse unsmooshes soon, and you find writing time and space in 2015.

I'm always tempted to try that again but I had a hard time coming up with so many things. Hm.

I did too, the first time (and I am this time), so I am going to do it a little at a time, and not stress if I only have a couple of things to start with tomorrow.

I think this is a great thing, but I may not tackle 101 things. That's a lot to put on a TO DO list. *wry*

I may do a shortened version, though. 36 things in 365 days... *ponders*

It really is a giant To Do list, isn't it? And I'll have smaller, shorter-term lists, too. 36 in 365 sounds really fantastic.
